For electric harp and chamber choir
A 21st century vision of Brahms’ famous work: the lonely harp of Remy van Kesteren facing the complete Nederlands Kamerkoor. The vocal parts remain largely intact, but the orchestral part are re-presented by composer Yannis Kyriakides and Remy van Kesteren for the electric harp that Remy himself developed. A devilish challenge.
Remy van Kesteren (1989) is one of the world’s most adventurous harpists and has been at the top from a young age. He was accepted to the Conservatory of Utrecht at ten, made his debut in the Concertgebouw with the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra at sixteen, and won the Prinses Christina Concours in 2004. Recently, he won the US International Harp Competition. He joined numerous groundbreaking projects, such as a cooperation with ballet choreographer Hans van Manen in 2014.
