The Nederlands Kamerkoor (Netherlands Chamber Choir) is conducted by the young French conducting talent Maxime Pascale in a programme which highlights the works of great Romantic masters like Brahms, Wagner and Strauss. The Romantic passion is complemented by a selection of secular madrigals by Schein. Prepare for an evening filled with fiery passion, led by a conductor who was awarded with several international prizes for his refreshing interpretations and approach. This summer he made his debut at the BBC Proms, having conducted numerous ensembles and choirs at high level, like Genesis Sixteen, Britten Sinfonia and Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester.

Maxime Pascal conductor
Due to a need to reduce the intensity of his workload Edo de Waart has to withdraw from the project with the Netherlands Chamber Choir. He is very sorry to have to come to this conclusion, as it was his strong wish to conduct the choir again, after a first successful encounter between him and the choir in 2016. We are very happy to announce that Maxime Pascal will be taking over, hot off the back of his hugely successful BBC Proms debut this summer, and the Netherlands Chamber Choir are delighted to welcome him for what will be his debut in the Netherlands.
