During his highly successful debut with the Nederlands Kamerkoor in 2016, Edo de Waart discovered how fantastic it was to conduct a cappella repertoire. Now, at the age of 78, he will once more be the choir’s guest in a programme that would seem to suit him down to the ground, with works by composers including Brahms, Strauss, and Wagner.

This programme represents the fulfilment of a profoundly cherished wish of both choir and conductor to renew their collaboration. Edo de Waart has scored successes at opera houses throughout the world with his interpretations of operas by Richard Strauss, such as Die Frau ohne Schatten and Der Rosenkavalier. He has conducted the major symphony orchestras in works by Brahms and Wagner in the most skillful and artistic way possible.
