-Concerts have already been performed-
Estonian composer Arvo Pärt celebrated his 80th birthday on September 11, 2015. With his music, he conquered many hearts. But there is more reason to celebrate: Pärt’s fellow countryman and colleague Veljo Tormis celebrates his 85th birthday this year. This festive occasion is conducted by no other than the Estonian Tõnu Kaljuste. He is reunited with the Nederlands Kamerkoor for the first time since he left as chief-conductor. A true Estonian party. However… with a hint of Finland, because why not also celebrate Sibelius’ 150th jubileum?
On September 10, the Nederlands Kamerkoor sang an honorary song for the Estonian composer in De Wereld Draait Door. Watch it here!
