In this programme the Netherlands Chamber Choir and Amsterdam Sinfonietta literally explore the boundaries of music, text, instrumentation and concert hall. From Arvo Pärt’s heavenly Spiegel im Spiegel (Mirror in the Mirror) to Veljo Tormis’ savage Curse upon Iron, these two top ensembles hover between small solo works and expansive settings for choir and string orchestra. Echoes resound from all corners and the sounds move through space.

The compositions rise up from every age, whether it is the sweet Tunes by Thomas Tallis from the sixteenth century or the fiery Concerto by Lepo Sumera from 2006.
