-Concerts have already been performed-
Tenso European Choir Festival is coming back to the Netherlands! From the 24th until the 27th of November, the Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam will be filled with choral music. There will be concerts of Europe’s finest choirs, like Cappella Amsterdam, the Netherlands Chamber Choir, the French choir AEDES and Polski Chór Kameralny. These and other choirs will present world premieres and well-known choral music. Two major world premieres will be presented: one of Grammy winner David Lang and one of the upcoming Estonian composer Evelin Seppar.
The festival will have a spectacular final concert by two hundred singers from five different choirs. They will sing Visioni ed Estasi by Dutch composer Wim Henderickx. The singers will surround the audience with ecstatic bursts of sound followed by moments of stillness. Beside the concerts, there is a lot to do and see: inspiring workshops for singers of all levels, master classes with young and talented conductors and composers and an ongoing exhibition from students of the Royal Academy of Art The Hague.
