The Netherlands Chamber Choir (Nederlands Kamerkoor) is excited to announce that Laura de By will be appointed as business director by the Board of Trustees from 1 January 2022! Laura de By, currently working as Head of Public Affairs for Opera at Dutch National Opera & Ballet, will from 1 January 2022 form a two-person management team together with the current director Tido Visser. Visser will therefore resign from his duties as general director, but will continue to remain as artistic director of the organisation, leaving him able to focus more on the artistic development of the choir.
Trudy Vos, chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Nederlands Kamerkoor, is very happy: “In Laura we are gaining a business director who can help realise the ambitions of the organisation. In her current employment she has proved herself a dynamic and inspiring professional. By creating a two-person management team we are creating space in which to take new steps both artistically and commercially.”
Tido Visser, artistic director of the Nederlands Kamerkoor: “I am thrilled with Laura’s appointment. I think that in her we have the modern business director we were looking for. Someone who approaches business from the point of view of content, urgency and connection. Her appointment also offers me, as artistic director, together with our chief conductor and the fantastic singers of the choir and NKK NXT, the opportunity to deepen the artistic quality even further.”
