Tenor Emilio Aguilar was born in Argentina in 1989 and is the son of a tango singer. At the age of 9 he started his piano studies and at the age of 15 he started singing training, both at the conservatory Gilardo Gilardi in his hometown La Plata. After high school, Emilio developed choral conducting at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata.
In 2010 he moved to the Netherlands to study singing at the Conservatory of Amsterdam where he graduated in 2015. In 2020 he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Early Music Vocals (Cum Laude) with Xenia Meijer. Emilio has sung several times in projects of the Nederlands Kamerkoor and has been a core member since July 2023.
