Picturing the story of the Netherlands Chamber Choir

And what is that story? Laura de By, business director Netherlands Chamber Choir: 'It starts with the fact that the Netherlands Chamber Choir has been around for almost 90 years, and has been constantly innovating and telling urgent stories all that time. The combination of bold shapes and striking colours on a base of more subdued surfaces, represents this unique combination of history, and drive for innovation.'

Those striking graphic shapes in the house style are abstract representations of the sound waves of the voice that resound in different forms and in different ways. Tido Visser, artistic director: 'It starts with the voice. After all, we believe in a world where which voice sounds, and where we listen to each other. With a voice that is the most vulnerable of all instruments, but also has a power with which we can touch and connect people. Isabelle Vaverka, who designed the new corporate identity, has done an amazing job of making that vulnerable yet powerful voice tangible, in the soft, but also the rough, the angular and the abrasive.'

New website

Along with the new corporate identity, the website was also tackled. With digital agency the Cre8ion Lab, a whole new environment was developed where the different colour schemes, graphic forms and use of photography are forged into a whole. Mark Stokmans, Marketing Manager: 'The new site allows us to tell the story of the Netherlands Chamber Choir better than ever before. Who we are, what we stand for, and what we do. The colourfulness and multiformity of music, performances and collaborations splashes off the screen. With this, we hope to even better inform our audience more to inspire them to experience choral music with us, online and of course offline.'
