Dorien Lievers - Alt

Even while studying main subject organ at the Arnhem Conservatory, Dorien (1968) was already active as a singer. This explains why — some years after graduating as an organist — she opted for vocal music and studied voice at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. There she also took interpretation lessons with Meinard Kraak and participated in various masterclasses.

Dorien has been a member of the Netherlands Chamber Choir since August 2006.

During her vocal training, she sang with Capella Amsterdam (led by Daniel Reuss) and Collegium Vocale Gent (led by Philippe Herreweghe). Later, she also sang with the Amsterdam Baroque Choir (conducted by Ton Koopman). Dorien can also be heard as a soloist at home and abroad. She has collaborated with the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, the Concertgebouw Kamerorkest, Combattimento Consort, Il Giardellino and Camerata Trajectina.

As a hobby, Dorien enjoys sewing and designing her own clothes.
