You feel small. Your breath shortens. Your gaze turns restless. Your eyes scan the space in search of something to hold on to. A train of thoughts races through your head. Scenarios, judgments, memories, possible mistakes, possible failures. You try to gain control, but the harder you think, the more stuck you become.
We invite you into a suggestive universe filled with confusion, humour and kindness, that mirrors our everchanging world. We explore the sensations that arise when things get out of proportion, and ask what remains of us when our certainties collapse?

NKK NXT is the traineeship of the Netherlands Chamber Choir, offering a new group of eight young professional singers a paid position, each year. Together, they explore what the choir concert of the future can look like. The program forms a bridge between formal training and the professional field, giving participants the space to experiment, create, and develop their own artistic vision. Alongside deepening their vocal and ensemble skills, they work on artistic leadership, stage presence, and cultural entrepreneurship, guided by experienced coaches and members of the Netherlands Chamber Choir.
