How do we find each other in the darkness, and how do we search for the light together? What remains visible when darkness envelops everything? By being there for one another, we can share hope and strength—perhaps enough to face what we’d rather avoid. Darkness is not just an ending but also a beginning: the place where a new day takes shape.
Yakamoz is a musical performance created by the eight singers of NKK NXT. Inspired by the Turkish concept of Yakamoz—the shimmering reflection of the moon on water—the singers take you on a hopeful journey through the night. No matter how dark and endless the night may seem, there is always light on the horizon. From the whispering stillness of the night to an exuberant rave as the sun rises brightly, Yakamoz invites the audience on a poetic journey full of contrasts and imagination. The performance includes fragments from Nachtwacht, a composition by Luke Deane, alongside classical repertoire, folk, pop, and improvisation.
