Kees Jan (1961) first studied recorder at the Utrecht Conservatory. While completing his first study in 1983, he started taking singing lessons. In 1992, he completed his vocal studies at the Royal Conservatoir in The Hague.
Kees Jan has been part of the Netherlands Chamber Choir since 1992.
In 1992, Kees Jan became a voice teacher at the Royal Conservatoire. He forms the foundation of the renowned Quink Vocal Ensemble. He sings regularly with international ensembles such as the Huelgas Ensemble, the Gesualdo Consort Amsterdam, the Egidius Quartet and Weser Renaissance. As a soloist, he performs in opera and oratorio concerts. In recent years, Kees Jan has also worked as a project conductor and vocal choir coach.
