New treasurer NKK Fund
"It is with great pleasure that I serve on the board of the NKK Fund," says Menno. "Singing has been a constant thread throughout my life. As a student, I began singing in the CREA Oratorio Choir, where I discovered I had talent—and was invited to join our conductor’s chamber choir. Those years shaped me both musically and professionally. I took on board roles within the choirs, which even led to my first job in the cultural sector, at Muziekcentrum de IJsbreker, and later at the Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ in Amsterdam. And now, 35 years later, I still sing in ensembles and project-based choirs. I’ve had the privilege of singing with Peter Dijkstra at Musa and have great admiration for Tido Visser’s music-theatrical creativity. To me, the Nederlands Kamerkoor is the flagship of Dutch choral music—deeply rooted in tradition, yet always forward-looking."
In addition to his musical involvement, Menno has been the director of the Association of Science Museums and Science Centers since 2021. Prior to that, he worked for many years at the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds, where he specialized in philanthropy, donations, and legacy giving. He built extensive experience in relationship management and fundraising, and developed a wide network within the philanthropic and cultural sectors. He now brings this expertise to the Nederlands Kamerkoor, helping connect choral music enthusiasts with the organization.
Since May 2025, Menno has been serving as treasurer of the NKK Fund.

The Netherlands Chamber Choir’s programs focusing on talent development, participation, and education rely on the support of our donors. The NKK Fund is an independent foundation dedicated to raising private donations for the Netherlands Chamber Choir.
